Indeed, the top 10 teams from Liverpool through Newcastle United are separated by 19 points – that's six wins and a draw.

Oddsmakers point to the intense competition this season as a reason for the difficulty in predicting the Premier League champions in 2023/24.

If #1 Liverpool continues winning for the remainder of the contest, it's game, set, and match. But Manchester City, Arsenal, and Aston Villa are hot on the heels of Liverpool, playing with sublime talent and an intense hunger.

It's anybody's game, especially from the top five contenders, with Manchester City posing the greatest threat to Liverpool's title race this season.

However, the Premier League predictions relegation odds are much clearer. And that’s largely due to the poor performance of the bottom three teams.

For starters, newcomers to the English Premier League, Luton Town, Sheffield United, and Burnley, are fighting tooth and nail to remain in this auspicious league. But they are not alone – struggling teams in Brentford and Nottingham Forest could be staring down the barrel.

Premier League relegation predictions are based on performance and potential. Given the Premier League standings of the bottom ten teams, the laggards become all too clear.

Based on the current table, the most obvious contenders for relegation this season are Sheffield United with 10 points, Burnley with 12 points, and Luton Town with 16 points.

*Note for Everton: Everton deducted 10 points following a breach of the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules. That decision is currently under appeal.

Everton currently has 10 points deducted for breaching its financial rules, but the decision is under appeal with the authorities. Injury concerns are always a factor when making relegation predictions.

For example, Brentford FC are desperately in need of Ivan Tony to keep the team from slipping further in the rankings.

While they certainly aren't in our relegation predictions Premier League 2023/2024 roster, Chelsea and Manchester United are in desperate need of inspirational leadership and management.

Do championship relegation predictions include Everton? Here at 888.com, we're going to go out on 11 and say no – probably not this season.

A points deduction is a real possibility, but if they can keep it together, they can stay out of the bottom three. As we see it, the Toffees under Sean Dyche have their work cut out for them, but they are a quality outfit.

On a throwback note - Premier League relegation predictions for 2014 feature teams like Burnley, at odds of 4-7, Southampton at parts of 7-2, and Queens Park Rangers, at odds of 15-8.

Burnley once again headlines this season as a likely Premier League predictions relegation team, but a couple of wins under their belt could change all of that. Stay tuned to 888 as we bring you football betting news from the pitch to your screen in double quick time!
