Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp shocked the football world by announcing his resignation as manager of the legendary English Premier League team.

The German strategist purportedly was close to quitting in the 2022/2023 season after Liverpool won 9/20 of their matches, losing their bid for the FA Cup during the fourth round and performing sub-optimally that season.

Klopp's profile is certainly impressive with the Reds. With Premier League club Liverpool, he has overseen 317 matches, recorded 199 wins, 74 draws, and 44 losses. That translates into a win ratio of 62.77%, a draw ratio of 23.34%, and a loss ratio of just 13.8%.

Under Klopp, Liverpool was expected to win or draw an incredible 86.11% of the time. Such records are a rarity at this level of play.

In that time, Liverpool scored an incredible 675 goals and conceded 310 goals. Klopp has been awarded manager of the month a total of nine times, most recently in May 2021.

He oversaw Liverpool being crowned Premier League champions in 2019/2020, and he has enjoyed the prestigious honour of Manager of the Season in 2019/2020 and 2021/2022. This season, Klopp is on track for a scintillating team performance with the Reds on fire.

He joined Liverpool after replacing Brendan Rodgers on October 8 2015. Despite heroic efforts at the finals of both the UEFA Champions League and the Europa League Finals in 2015/2016, Liverpool finished runners-up.

During the next season, Jurgen Klopp was instrumental in securing a massive victory for the Reds against Tottenham Hotspur with a crushing 2-0 final triumph in the Champions League.

Although, disappointment followed with a second-place finish behind Manchester City in the Premier League in 2018/2019.
