Canadian sports betting fans will be welcoming the return to action of Roger Federer at the upcoming event at Indian Wells.
The Swiss player has been away from the game since winning the Australian Open in January this year and has been installed as the pre-tournament favorite.
Andy Murray, who Federer beat in the final in Australia, is second favorite in the early betting after a disappointing display in his last tournament, when he lost in the second round of the Dubai Tennis Championships to Janko Tipsarevic.
Rafael Nadal will be another of the top players making his return from injury at Indian Wells and is fourth favorite with the bookmakers.
The Spanish clay-court specialist has struggled with knee problems for much of the last year, missing the defence of his Wimbledon title in London.
He will be eager to pit himself up against 16-time Grand Slam winner Federer, with whom he contested what is widely regarded to have been one of the best tennis matches of all time in the final of the 2008 Wimbledon Championships.
Novak Djokovic, the current second best player in the world according to the ATP rankings, is also expected to do well at Indian Wells.
Robin Soderling, having won the 2010 ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament earlier in the year, may be another player to keep an eye on.
