The World Series of Poker (WSOP) faces a battle of the ages on its final table as 21-year-old Joseph Cada goes heads-up with Darvin Moon, a lumberjack aged 46.
Having seen off the challenge of seven other players since the competition began on Saturday November 7th, the unlikely pair will recommence today (November 9th) chasing the $8.5 million (C$9 million) grand prize.
One of the players to have fallen by the wayside so far is Phil Ivey, one of the highest-earning poker professionals of all time and many pundits' favourite to take the famous WSOP gold bracelet.
However, having been short-stacked throughout the final table he finished in seventh place after being eliminated by a lucky hand from Moon.
The two finalists typify the tournament's theme that anyone who enters can win.
In fact, this has been so much the case that since online poker player Chris Moneymaker won the contest as an amateur back in 2003, no professional has tasted victory at the WSOP.
As neither Moon nor Cada are well-known players, that trend is set to continue for another year.
